Dear Colleagues,
There has recently been a flurry of activity from publishers offering EU
information on the web. To shed some light on what's available - and whether
it is worth you subscribing - the April issue of 'European Information' will
include a feature on three of the new services:
EU Direct (Butterworths)
EU Interactive (Spicers)
Know Europe (Chadwyck-Healey).
The feature will look at what they offer and how they offer it. It is not
intended to pick the best service, but rather to see how different
publishers are using web technology to develop their products. Each
publisher will say something about their service, and there will be the
opportunity for users to contribute too.
As these are all new services with relatively few users at the moment, I am
seeking VOLUNTEERS to use one or more of the products and let me have their
comments. If you would like to participate in the feature, please contact
me and I will arrange for appropriate passwords to be issued. (Access will
probably start next week and run for two weeks).
It is also my intention to contact selected users / subscribers of each
service to elicit their views, so if you are already subscribing, please
don't volunteer for this trial!
I look forward to receiving lots of offers from potential volunteers.
Best wishes,
Eric
