There's another offer - sign up with lineone.net ( uses BT infrastructure, and I think is run by United News and Media who are in talks with Carlton tv ). That then offers "free" access - pay one-off £20 for a dialler, then if you spend £5 a month on voice ,national or international calls you get internet access with no call charges any time. The calls are made via "QUIP" which is jointly owned by Bank of Scotland, Unisys computers, and - guess who - British Telecom. apparently this is a way of BT avoiding being held back by Oftel.
Sounds interesting, I think I'll give it a try for the Easter holidays to get my money's worth :-)
