The Bridging the Divide Project is a research project being undertaken
by the Norah Fry Research Centre (based at the University of Bristol)
and the Home Farm Trust. It is funded by the National Lottery Charities
Board. The aim of the research is to help improve what happens when
young people with learning difficulties are in taransition to adulthood.
There are three parts to the project: a questionnaire being sent to 250
parents/carers of young people with learning difficulties to ask them
about their experiences of the transition process; one to one
interviews with young people and their parents about their own
experiences; and visiting projects or schemes that are doing innovative
work in the area.
If you'd like any further information (or, indeed, if you know of any
innovative projects that may be good to visit!) then I'd be happy to
discuss the project more off line. I'm one of the researchers working
on the project.
All the best
