CALL FOR PAPERS
</color>Space has been reserved on the programme for number of
previously unpublished papers which will be considered by members
of the ISA Congress Committee. Those submitting a paper should
be members of the International Shakespeare Association, the
Fundacion Shakespeare de Espana or other national Shakespeare
societies which are corporate members of the ISA. Papers must be
in English and should be designed for a presentation not exceeding
30 minutes. Papers clearly exceeding these limits cannot be
considered. Since it is planned to publish the selected proceedings
of the Valencia Congress, the ISA reserves the right to a first option
on the printing of any of the papers accepted for the programme.
Those submitting papers should send two non-returnable copies in
typescript to the Executive Secretary, International Shakespeare
Association, Shakespeare Centre, Henley St., Stratford-upon-Avon,
CV37 6QW, UK, or can submit papers electronically via the
Congress web site http://www.uv.es/~fse. Papers will be
acknowledged and senders will be informed in due course whether
or not they have been successful.
Papers should relate to some aspect of the overall theme of the
Congress, 'Shakespeare and the Mediterranean'. Amongst the
factors affecting the Committee's choice of papers will be thematic
relevance and the need to achieve a balanced programme.
THE DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF PAPERS IS 16 JULY
2000.
<color><param>0000,0000,0000</param>SEMINAR PROGRAMME AND REGISTRATION
</color>Seminars on a wide range of topics related to the overall Congress
theme will form an important part of the programme. The seminars
are expected not to exceed 25 scholars who will work under the
direction of the leaders. Papers will be written, circulated and read
in advance, so that the seminars can be devoted to the discussion
of the issue raised in the research. Registration in a seminar will
require active participation.
The seminar programme and a seminar registration form may be
obtained from the Executive Secretary, International Shakespeare
Association, Shakespeare Centre, Henley St., Stratford-upon-Avon,
CV37 6QW, UK, or delegates may register on-line via the Congress
web site http://www.uv.es/~fse. Registration is open to all members
of the International Shakespeare Association, the Fundacion
Shakespeare de Espana, or other national Shakespeare societies
which are corporate members of the ISA.
