Research Associate in Business-Oriented Requirements Engineering
This post on the CORK 'Corporate Knowledge Exploitation for
Requirements Engineering' project is funded by the EPSRC's SEBPC (Software
Engineering for Business Process Change) Programme. The
research will involve modelling inter-organisational business
relationships and developing corporate memories for knowledge reuse. A
scenario analysis method will be developed to guide systematic
exploration of IT requirements for client-supplier collaborations, in a
legacy systems context. This method will be evaluated in industrial
applications with ERA Technology Ltd.
The post requires experience in requirements engineering, modelling
business knowledge and scenarios, development of new methods, and

An appointment will be made for 2 years on the RA1A scale according to
experience and qualifications (£16,286-£19,869 per annum). Candidates
should preferably have a PhD in software engineering, business studies,
computer or social sciences, and/or relevant research experience in
empirical studies or action research.
