LECTURESHIP IN PSYCHOLOGY
We are seeking a person with an established research record who will make a
particular contribution to the new cross-disciplinary Masters in Human
Communication and Computing. The person appointed will also contribute to
the undergraduate degrees in Psychology, according to their expertise, and
to the supervision of research students.
We are looking for someone with research interests in human-computer
interaction, and/or communication, and/or collaborative systems. We
welcome applications from people who could approach these areas from one or
more of the following perspectives; cognitive psychology, social psychology,
semiotics (from a psychological point of view), ethnographic psychology.

TWO LECTURESHIPS IN COMPUTING
The Computing Group is continuing its planned expansion and seeks to fill
two further Lectureships. The Computing Group is internationally renowned
for its research strength (RAE 5 rating) and has the highest quality
students. Current research strengths are in computer algebra, computer
graphics and multimedia, and human computer interaction, with further
research interests in computer music, computer vision, programming
languages, agent technologies, electronic commerce, and cryptography.
In keeping with our planned expansion we are primarily seeking applicants
with interests in the areas of computing systems including, distributed
systems, information systems, database systems, concurrent systems,
mobile/embedded systems, dependable/secure systems, or closely related
areas. In addition, we welcome applications in or close to our existing
areas of research strength.
