The School of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences of the University
of Wolverhampton will be advertising shortly a Postgraduate Studentship :
A Comparative Study of the Post-Imperial Experience in 20th Century
Austrian and Spanish Literature.
The successful applicant will receive £6,500 per annum for three years. Fee
exemption will also apply during this period. The School offers a thriving
research and postgraduate culture in a multidisciplinary environment in
which both nation/language-specific and comparative approaches to literary
studies are established in teaching and research. Opportunities to
undertake some teaching may also be available.
The successful candidate will normally be expected to have gained at least
upper second class honours in a relevant Bachelors degree. In addition, the
candidate will be required to have or to be able to acquire knowledge of
German and Spanish sufficient to be able to read fluently and analytically
literary, historical, critical and theoretical texts in these languages.
