My new programme, CISAID, has facilities for transferring files from Mini
disc to hard disk. Those files can be played from within the programme and
linked to text and codes. You can also access the original sound recording
from any linked point. It does not have facilities for converting WAV files
to MP3 but it will play MP3 files. The space-saving is considerable. There
is an MP3 version of the demonstration file on the distribution desk, it is
one 6th of the size of the WAV from which it was made. It was created by
using some freeware that I downloaded.
Unfortunately I cannot remember what it was called.

Alan Cartwright.
