Hi Renee,
I have heard the same thing - we get an interestingly high number of
GBS patients here in Nepal - certainly compared to my experience back
home, and the ICU staff here have found the same thing - the worse
the patient is initially, ie totally dependent on the vent etc, the quicker
and more complete, the recovery seems to be.
I couldn't tell you why either!
