Sorry to be a party pooper, but doesn't working to the point of fatigue
suggest that the test is for a measure of endurance? Certainly the classical
1RM is a good choice as would a isometric contraction as measured on a
dynamometer.

one time max heel lift against resistance (in squat rack).
