Tomorrow?s History ? Project Officer
24 month fixed term contract SO2 ( ?20,355 - ?21,549 )
Information North is seeking a renaissance person to manage our
Tomorrow?s History project ? a ?600,000, 2-year project, supported by
the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project will produce a major regional
local studies web-based resource for the North East region of England.
You will work with libraries, museums, archives and record offices and
local and community groups to digitise and improve access to local
studies resources. You will have had experience of successfully managing
similar large projects, a broad range of ICT skills and the ability
to communicate and work with people at all levels. Most importantly, you
will need experience of local studies work in a library, museum,
archive, heritage or academic environment. You will be committed,
enthusiastic and flexible and able to manage and motivate staff and
volunteers.
As this is a temporary fixed term contract post relocation expenses are
not payable. This post may be suitable for secondment.
