LIC responds to 'Libraries for All'
The LIC response to the DCMS consultation document 'Libraries for All:
Social Inclusion in Public Libraries' has welcomed the idea of
collaborative activity with other community services - especially
libraries' role in support of lifelong learning - and identifies a number
of tasks that could be taken forward in promoting the value of libraries
to the social inclusion agenda. The Commission is currently drawing up a
separate policy statement on libraries and social inclusion, to be
published in due course.
