SENSES OF HUMOUR
ONE-DAY COLLOQUIUM

>From 'umorismo' to humour, from satire to slapstick, from wit to the
grotesque, from punning to parody: this one-day graduate colloquium will
discuss the multi-faceted nature and uses of laughter in Italian
literature, art, media and film. Papers will be presented on Eco, Fo,
Benni, Montale, Levi, Calvino and many others.
Guest speaker Dr Margaret Rose (Clare Hall, Cambridge) speaking on parody.
With the participation of Mirna Cicioni and Ed Emery.
Conference fee £12 (£8 students) including lunch.
Venue: Leckhampton, Grange Road, Cambridge (opposite Selwyn College)
