Dear Colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the details of this year's
annual conference of the Association for the Study of German Politics
(ASGP). The conference will be held at the German Historical
Institute in London on 27-28 April 2000, on the theme of "Germany and
Eastern Europe". Speakers include Prof. Hanns Maull (Trier), Prof.
Roland Sturm (Erlangen-Nuernberg) and Wolfgang Gibowski
(Stiftungsinitiative der deutschen Wirtschaft Erinnerung,
Verantwortung und Zukunft).
Preceding the conference, on 26 April 2000, the Association is
holding its 6th Graduate Conference around the theme of Germany and
the World. We would like to invite graduate students from all areas
of German studies to attend, and are delighted that there is a
hardship fund, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, available to
support attendance. We would also be grateful if colleagues would
also draw the attention of this conference to any graduate students
they might have.
Details of both conferences, including booking forms and a hardship
fund application form, are available on the ASGP website:

We hope to see you in London!
Simon Green
