Pli: The Warwick Journal of Philosophy
Call for Papers
'Transcendental Philosophy and Romanticism'
Contributions are invited for the next issue of Pli which will focus on
the development of transcendental philosophy and its influence on
German Romanticism. Potential topics include the philosophies of
Kant, Fichte, Schelling, as well as the writings of the Jena
Romantics (Schlegel, Novalis), and Holderlin. Contributions are
invited on the work of the aforementioned figures, and others of that
time, in the following areas: theoretical philosophy (the nature of
consciousness, epistemology, the theory of reflection); moral
philosophy; aesthetics (Romantic literary theory, the ontology of the
artwork, irony) political theory.
Submissions in the form of completed articles - one hard copy and
one copy on disk formatted for PC Microsoft Word 6 or Rich Text
Format - should be sent to
