Disabled Hellas is the largest collection of disability and
rehabilitation related articles and books in Greek language. At this
time there are online:
1. Six books by writers with disabilities,
2. Disability Now magazine,
3. 332 articles and large text files.
Disabled Hellas is a non profit organization.
The aim of the Disabled Hellas is to distribute all the available
information for the disabilities and to empower the Greeks with
disabilities with the appropriate technical knowledge and skills to
manage their needs and to reconstruct their lives.
The archive is accessible for almost all the major human disabilities.
It is available on the following media
1. in Internet http://www.disabled.gr/
2. on a CD-ROM (for the people who doesn 't have internet access) and
3. in print.
On the Disabled Hellas you can find online many articles and books
related to:
1. Spinal Cord Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegia, Tertraplegia
and Brain Injuries.
2. Independent Living, Attendant Care and educational material for
Rehabilitation Nurses.
3. Adaptive Technology, Computers and utilities.

5. Rehabilitation Aids, Wheelchairs, hoists, furniture.

Disabled Hellas solely run by volunteers. Most of them are living under
disability conditions. Disabled Hellas doesn' t receive financial
support from the Greek Government or any other private or public source.
