POSTGRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES
We are pleased to offer 6 fully funded University Studentships (UK/EU
fees plus maintenance grant), 3 in any aspect of human geography and 3

Integrating social, community and economic development within the
context of rural regeneration: a comparative study to influence the
economic and social regeneration of County Durham.

The potential of intermediate means of transport (IMTs) for improving
access to markets in rural Ghana
SUPERVISORS: Dr Gina Porter and Dr Janet Townsend. PARTNER:
Natural Resources International Ltd.
The Department also usually receives NERC studentships. Applications
are also invited for open competition awards from the ESRC (the
Department has ESRC Mode A recognition) and for NERC/ESRC
