Two Teaching Company Associates Required:
The Job: TCS programmes promote partnerships between companies and =
groups
of academic staff. In this project you will work mainly at the offices =
of
Synapsys in Wheathampstead Hertfordshire, supervised and assisted by
representatives of Synapsys and the University of Hertfordshire. The
project is related to the development of services for digital =
interactive
television.
Teaching Company Associate Number 1:
Two Year Appointment
Salary: =A320,000 - =A323,000 depending on skills and experience
A graduate with formal training in computer science and good C++
programming skills.
The work will involve:
Research into the current state of interactive television technology.
The understanding and mastery of different production requirements
The development of software for the production, rehearsal and =
transmission
of interactive services and advertising presentations to accompany =
digital
broadcasts
The Person:
You will be a graduate with a good honours degree in computer science =
and
excellent C++ programming skills with experience gained in a commercial
environment. You must have good communication skills in spoken and =
written
English. You will be reliable, flexible, self-motivated and able to =
work
as part of a team.
Teaching Company Associate 2.
Two Year Appointment
Salary: =A318,000 - =A320,000 depending on skills and experience
A graduate with formal training in multimedia design.
The work will involve:
Research into the current state of interactive television technology.
The mastery of different production requirements and understanding of
customer needs.
The creation of visual demonstrations of potential interactive services =
-
particularly the design and implementation of end-user interfaces.
The Person:
You will be a graduate with a good honours degree or equivalent in
multimedia design with experience gained in a commercial environment.
Preferably you will have a good working knowledge of Macromedia =
Director,
and other multimedia production tools. You must have good communication
skills in spoken and written English. You will be reliable, flexible,
self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
For both posts, suitably qualified candidates will have the opportunity =
to
enrol for an MSc by Research Portfolio.
