Colleagues
DAA have recently received messages from an Armenian student who has
obtained funding to conduct research into human rights issues and people
with learning difficulties.
I have been unable to clarify the level of study (i.e. undergrad/post grad)
or whether the study is purely academic or has practical policy
implications. DAA are unable to provide the level of research support that
the student needs, but would like to provide a list of possible resources
and centres of excellence (if there are any in human rights and people with
learning difficulties).
If any list-members have suggestions for European-based agencies that would
seem likely to be able to host a research trip by the student, whilst
offering access to the sorts of material that he needs, would you please be
kind enough to contact me, off-list, and I will forward your comments to the
student concerned.
If there are any students who are researching similar issues and would like
to meet or correspond with the Armenian student, perhaps you could also
write to me.
With thanks in anticipation.
