Dear Glenda, you are quite right. Route Marchin' is indeed Kipling and can
be found in Definitive Verse. It is too long for me to type in for you but
perhaps you either have a copy of know it all by heart!
If not, search the www for the Anerican who has put all (he claims) Kipling
verse on the web.
When in India perhaps you will be in Bombay (Mumbai) and would want to see
the house in the JJ School of Art opposite the big market, where Kipling
was born - apply to the head of the Design Department I think. In the
market you can see a fountain and some of the decorative work of his
father, Lockwood Kipling.
If India includes Pakisthan on this trip, Lahore (and the Shalimar Gardens)
is where he lived and worked as a young man. Kim's gun Zamzamah stands
restored outside the (new) wonder house.
