I have seen the light
I have had a similar experience to Peter Rowe but had previously
assumed that the strange tomb-stone related requests I have had
recently, one wanted to know what I was doing about restoring a 1960s
head stone and the other (rather more relevant but indirect) about names
on a war memorial, came to me because I try to record cemeteries (often
designed landscapes) and War Memorials on the CRMS.
This is obviously not the case.
I have the same problems with Archaeology as I do with Heritage in that
it tends to imply that were are only interested in a) things below ground
and b) things which are very old
