Temporary Assistant Lectureship in German, 2000-2001
The Department of German intend to appoint a Temporary Assistant
Lecturer for twelve months from 1 October 2000, while Dr C. J.
Young is on leave of absence. The stipend will be in the range
£17,238 to £22,579.
The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for:
half the teaching of two undergraduate courses in medieval German
literature before 1500 and the medieval module on the Faculty's
MPhil course in European literature; one third of the undergraduate
course in the History of the German Language; and instruction in
language exercises in modern German for the undergraduate
courses, by arrangement with the Head of Department.
