As Andrew Jameson has pointed out, the 'wobbler'/'cat-colonic' virus
is a hoax. Could I ask list members please not to forward virus
warnings to the german-studies list in future: the desire to alert
fellow subscribers is appreciated, but the fact remains that the great
majority are hoaxes.
There are a number of good anti-virus websites which are frequently
updated and carry news of all the latest hoaxes (as well as real
viruses) - the following can be recommended in particular:
Antivirus Online (IBM):
http://www.av.ibm.com/
F-Secure Computer Virus Info Center:
http://www.datafellows.com/virus-info/
Stiller Research Virus News:
http://www.stiller.com/vnews.htm
Symantec AntiVirus Research Center:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/index.html
Thanks for your co-operation.
