The German Department at the University of Nottingham would like
to hear from scholars interested in applying for postdoctoral
research fellowships funded via the British Academy or the
Leverhulme Trust which would be taken up at the University of
Nottingham. German at Nottingham is rated no.1 in the UK in the
Times listing of UK modern language Departments (5* in research,
22 in teaching quality); we have recently increased our
undergraduate intake by 50%; and our research interests include
modern German literature 1750-1990, cultural and critical theory,
medieval literature, contemporary culture and politics East and
West. We are located in a large and vibrant School of Modern
Languages whose median RAE score was 5*, and thus can offer a
superb research environment for potential postdoctoral fellows.
