The Ergonomics Society is presently seeking nominations for several
positions on Council which are coming up for re-election in April. The
Society exists to maintain high professional standards and promote an
increasing awareness of the importance of Ergonomics. Serving on Council
is a chance where you can play a direct role in influencing the direction
and operation of the Society. There are also benefits for the individual,
in terms of professional development.
Nominations for these posts need to be received by the Society by the 16th
of February. It is important to note that some can only be held,
nominated or voted for by certain grades of membership.
Nominations are required for the following positions on The Ergonomics
Society Council
Posts held, nominated and voted for by Registered members and Fellows Only
President
Honorary General Secretary
Honorary General Treasurer
Chair of Meetings
Chair of Membership Committee
Five Ordinary members of Council
There is also a vacancy on the Professional Affairs Board

Nominations may only be made on the appropriate form and should reach the
Honorary General Secretary, at the Ergonomics Society Office by the 16th of

If anyone has any proposals for rule changes these should also be sent to
the Honorary General Secretary, at the Ergonomics Society Office by the
16th of February.
To nominate people for these posts you need to:-
Think of someone you would like to nominate, ask them if they would be
willing to do it and then obtain the nomination forms from the Ergonomics
Society Office. If you wish to stand you require two people to nominate you.
