U.S. GOVERNMENT-FUNDED PROGRAM SEEKS REGIONAL COORDINATOR

The Regional Initiative, a multidimensional U.S. assistance program focused
on Russian regions outside of Moscow, is looking for a representative to
coordinate its activities in one region. Candidate must be available to
begin work no later than March 15, 2000. Compensation will be based on the
candidate's qualifications and salary history.
The position requires:
1. Fluency in Russian;
2. Prior experience living and working in Russia or another country
of the former Soviet Union;
3. Proven ability to work effectively with U.S. government assistance
providers, non-governmental organizations, private industry, and
Russian governmental entities.
4. Willingness to live in remote regions of Russia.
Other relevant qualifications include:
1. Experience working with foreign assistance programs in Russia or
other FSU countries;
2. Experience working with foreign investors or financial
institutions in Russia or other FSU countries.
