On February 5, 2000, the University of Illinois, Chicago, and the DuSable
Museum of African American History, will sponsor a symposium entitled
"African American Designers: The Chicago Experience Then and Now." The
symposium, organized by Victor Margolin of the University of Illinois,
Chicago, is based on Professor Margolin's research as a Fellow of the UIC
Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy. For further information,
