Not true.
He has had a great many replies. Consider, for example his message entitled
"Thermodynamic paradoxes"
(http://www.bio.net/hypermail/btk-mca/btk-mca.199705/0082.html) that he
sent on 24th May 1997, which begun like this:
>Dear Colleagues,
>I would like you to help me solve a few thermodynamic paradoxes. I have

No doubt regular readers of his postings will recognize the style. However,
that is not the point, which is that it is simply a lie to say that people
never reply. This message received replies from at least five people in the
month that followed (not to mention that great mass of messages that Mr
Valev himself followed up with). During the year that followed the same
history was repeated many times, and on most occasions people tried to make
some sense of what he said.
