Jenny Parry wrote about having an article title altered which
changes the intended meaning around 180 degrees. Back to semantic
difficulties again!
This has been my experience on a number of occasions too.
My "disabled people" has dissolved into "People with disabilities"
I have explicitly made the point on occasions that Deaf, used mid
sentence was intentional and important, but not about titles as yet.
Editorial licence to do such things is perhaps difficult (or suicidal)
to challenge.
I'd be interested in the extent of this problem and any effective
solutions people have used.
Best wishes
