Dear Helen,
something similar exists for Irmgard Keun - Gabriele Kreis: "Was man
glaubt, gibt es". Das Leben der Irmgrad Keun. This poses as a biography but
you get an idea of the approach from the back cover blurb: Kein Wunder,
dass sich diese Biographie liest wie ein Roman: Irmgard Keuns Leben war ein
Roman. No names are changed but a good deal, including thoughts and deeds,
are invented. I have a copy if you are interested and cannot get hold of one.
In that context, do I remember you very kindly offering to lend me your
copy of "Das gruene Licht der Steppen"? I am having terrible trouble
getting it.
Happy New Year!
Gaby
