Hi Joel
This was announced on the hemall-discussion Mailbase list. The contact
information was made available at the request of Webmanagers who attended
the HERO session at the Institutional Web Management Workshop in Bath in
September - there was concern that if the information was not made easily
accessible, there would be breakdown of communications within institutions.
I take your point about the dangers of spamming. I've suggested to the
Webmaster of the site that the mailto: links are removed and possibly
changing the form of the email address so they are human readable but not
machine processible (e.g. B.Kelly at ukoln.ac.uk).
Is this a reasonable compromise?
Brian
