I am actually doing some research into the determinants of aggregate inland freight t-km. Within this work the following theoretical issues have gained relevance:
- How do variations in country area affect inland freight statistics?
- How are inland t-km influenced by population density and urbanization?
So far, I havenīt found anything on these matters. If you are aware of any theoretical or other reasoning or research on the issues mentioned, please let me have it (or its bibliographical information).
