POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENTSHIPS
Research Studentships available, tenable for 3 years from autumn 2000
Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduates, holding a first
or upper second class degree (or equivalent) in various disciplines
including: engineering, mathematics, IT, planning, geography and physics.
The School gained 3A and 3B ratings in RAE96, is a key member of the
Transport Research Institute (TRI), and currently has opportunities for
postgraduate research in a wide range of topics within each of the School's
five subject groups (transport, geotechnics/fluids, structures, building and
surveying). Detailed descriptions of the available topics can be found on
the School's website, the address of which is given below. (There may also
be opportunities to carry out research in other areas of the TRI).
Successful applicants will register for MPhil/PhD.
The level of the studentships will be similar to those awarded by the UK
Research Councils and will cover university fees for UK/EU students.
