'Delivering Changes in Travel Behaviour: Lessons from Health
Promotion' is a new report from the Institute for European
Environmental Policy (IEEP) and Adrian Davis Associates. It
highlights the lessons that transport policy-makers can learn from
their counterparts in health promotion. In this sector, policies are
targeted to encourage people to change their behaviour, and have
been successful on issues as wide ranging as helping people to stop
smoking to encouraging safe sex. By applying the model used and the
lessons learnt in the health sector, the report argues that there is
a range of opportunities for targeting policies in the transport
sector and suggests ways to take advantage of these.
