Two lecturing jobs at Huddersfield University



Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Transport and Logistics - 1 year fixed term from
September 2000

Applications are invited from honours graduates for the above post, which is
to backfill for a member of staff who has been seconded outside the UK for
one year from September.

The duties of the person appointed are subject to negotiation and will
include the delivery of modules in Distribution Planning and Management and
Marketing.

The post is likely to appeal to someone looking to embark on an academic
career.  Alternatively, it may be of relevance to a suitably qualified
person with an Industrial background.


Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Transport and Logistics

September 2000.

The main duties of the person appointed will be to manage the industrial
placement of Transport and Logistics students and to teach modules in the
Human Resources Management area for these and other students in the
Department.  Applicants with other specialisms in Transport and Logistics
will also be considered.

Candidates with an industrial background will be welcomed.

Job Description

The main duties of the person appointed are

*	to be responsible for managing liaison with industry, the industrial
placement of Transport and Logistics students and student preparation
through the Enterprise Workshop module in the first semester

*	to teach modules in Human Resources Management to year 2 Transport
and Logistics and Hospitality Management students

*	to contribute to the Transport and Logistics skills year 1 module

*	to provide additional modules in a subject area of Transport and
Logistics depending on the background of the successful applicant

*	to develop a new final year optional module in the human resource
area for teaching from September 2001

*	to contribute to the supervision of final year projects

*	to take on the administrative role of year 2 tutor for Transport and
Logistics students
