PUBLIC TRANSPORT, BEST VALUE AND BENCHMARKING: HOW TO ACHIEVE
QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS
The University of Newcastle upon Tyne (Transport Operations Research
Group) in Association with Trans Control Oy of Finland is holding a
Seminar entitled "Public transport, best value and benchmarking: how
to achieve quality improvements" at the University of Newcastle upon
Tyne on 7th December 2000.
Speakers will explain why knowing where you perform well is important and
show you how you could measure your company's performance using external
assistance. This is against a backdrop of a University research team with
extensive experience in measuring the internal efficiency of public
transport operators throughout Europe. One speaker has experience in
helping over 100 public transport companies in Finland and Sweden determine
the level of their competitiveness which in turn has helped them forge
ahead in their own domain of operation.
