Hi anyone interested in web-based instruction on urban water quality
modelling and planning (otherwise delete).
This seeks opinion of a double web grad course URL:
http://www.eos.uoguelph.ca/webfiles/james/
Hit the "661.." or "662.." buttons at top left, then feel free to explore
the site. FYI, the courses were taken for credit by 19 grad students (some
did not complete) from 11 countries, offered by 5 instructors at 4
universities. Tuition was conducted both locally in class and asynchronously
on the web and per listserver. The listserver instruction is not publicly
available. Five computer models were used including SWMM and WASP. Global
aspects, peer evaluation and self-grading are further innovations in the
course(s).
The reason why I bring these to your attention now (the courses are nearing
completion) is to solicit ideas for their improvement and potential wider
participation. Feel free to email me directly at [log in to unmask] Thanks.
With sincere regards,
Bill James
