I am looking for some biographical information on someone named M. Mertrud,
who was a professor of comparative anatomy at the Musee d'histoire naturelle
in Paris in the late 18th century. He seems to have died around 1801 or
1802, and his natural history library was auctioned off in Paris in November
1802. I am most interested in his first name and his birth and death dates.
Is there possibly a publication of the Musee which would list him? Thanks
in advance for any information-
