i would agree with dallas on this point. perhaps more people would express
gender "dysphoria" who go to see a therapist than a phyisician. i'm not sure
someone going to a phyician for say, a flu, would necessarily discuss their
gender.
i don't want to "dismiss" the research at all. it's "interesting," and yes
the #'s do appear higher than i'm sure most doctors think about.
it' just that so many people get lost in these stats tho' who are *not*
transsexual in a classic transitioning manner. this is especially true for
female born people: butches, stone butches, transdender butches etc.
