Hello all,
Stephen has asked if I could mention about Trans Theory's (TT) recent changes.
TT, still just as very lively and as very busy as ever, has now moved over to eGroups. The address
is http://www.egroups.co.uk/group/Trans-theory
It has somewhat a wider brief than before (see Mission Statement below), a *very* new set of list
'rules' and, a five member management team . It also has a Sister List called 'Scylla' (see
http://www.egroups.co.uk/group/scylla ), the latter requiring membership application.
Please consider joining us!
well wishes,

TT's Mission Statement:-
"Trans-theory seeks to provide a meeting place for discussion of concepts,
theories and related ideas of gender and sexuality. Included within these are all areas related to
transsexualism, transgenderism and associated topics, and those contexts that are exemplified by the
experience of those people who cross the divides between gender and sexuality.
Membership is open to all with an interest in these areas but it is to be emphasized that this list
is not a quasi-support group. Our common commitment is to the rigorous discussion and examination of
ideas, in as reasonable a manner as is possible given the often greatly differing attitudes, beliefs
and interests held by people interested in these fields.
Ultimately, our mission is to create an informed debate more at an abstract level than at a
personal/emotional one, in a civil and polite, though not protected environment. Our rules and
strategies as a group will seek to reflect this".
