GENDYS 2000, The Sixth International Gender Dysphoria Conference will
take place on Saturday and Sunday, the 2nd. and 3rd. September 2000 at
Hulme Hall, University of Manchester.
Each of the five previous biennial GENDYS conferences have proved to
be, not only a premier forum for all of the transgender community and
professional and lay carers, but also a stimulating social occasion.
Many of the foremost speakers on the subject will be reading papers on
topics ranging through psychiatry, surgery and counselling through to
transsexual's own personal experiences. There will also be a number of
seminars and workshops.
Hulme Hall occupies a pleasant leafy site of some nine acres, and
offers superb facilities, with a modern, well-equipped, 300 seat
tiered lecture hall and accomodation in a number of en suite bedrooms.
Delegates arrive on the Friday evening, stay in a local hotel or on
campus, or they may attend as day delegates on the Saturday morning.
In all cases, early booking is advised.
