Dear Ari,
These are stats for people who went to a general practitioner who identified
as (or were identified by the docs as) "gender dysphoric". Tranvestism was
specifically excluded.
Indeed there may be more people who did not reveal their feelings to a
doctor. What is particularly interesting is the number of people who had
presented with gender dysphoria within the 12 months preceding the study.
For that reason, we must carry out a follow up study because social
acceptence of gender dysphoria appears to be increasing. and more people may
be willing to reveal how they fell. Also, I would like to see a study in
another region of the UK because Scotland may be unrepresentative of the
total population in this country.
With warmest regards. Bernard.
..
that doesn't really give us a # of people, but people who saw a doctor....
just want to make sure that i'm reading you correctly....
