There are more details below about the list

**************************************************************
IASSC - The International Association for the Study of Sexuality and
Culture
**************************************************************
================================================================

This list is devoted to academics and independent researchers working
on the study of sexuality and culture. Keywords: Sexuality, Culture,
and Anthropology.

IASSC is a new association for all researchers working on the study of
sexuality and culture, though it is expected that its main users will
be anthropologists and those working in cultural studies. This new
organisation is intended to provide a mechanism whereby research,
calls for papers, conference announcements etc. can be made available
to those working in this area, which is often dissipated through many
different disciplines.

================================================================
Web Pages
================================================================
The Mailbase homepage is at:

        http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/

and this list appears on the web at:

        http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/IASSC/

================================================================
List Netiquette
================================================================
As a Mailbase user you MUST abide by the Mailbase Acceptable Use
Policy (http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/docs/aup.html)

There are also some general guidelines on using lists at
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/docs/guidelines.html

And here are some guidelines for this list

- Do NOT send attachments to this list. Many people who do not use the
  same email program or word-processor software as you will have
  problems reading your attachments.

- If you have a promotional message, such as a conference
  announcement, a job advert or details of a training course, please
  send it to the listowner

- Keep your message short and on-topic, and use a meaningful subject
  line. If you do this people are more likely to read it.

- When replying to a message, quote part of the original message, so
  people can understand the context. But you don't have to quote the
  entire message.

================================================================

Do not add a signature or any other details to the message

================================================================
Contact the Listowner
================================================================
You can contact the listowner by sending a message to

        [log in to unmask]

Use this address if you have a problem leaving the list or sending a
message to the list, or any general question about this list.

================================================================
Problems!
================================================================

o Never send commands, or requests to join, or admin.
   queries, to [log in to unmask] - your problem will be
   broadcast to all our members!

o If your mail address changes, send a message to
   [log in to unmask]

o If something goes wrong - perhaps you get two copies of
   every message - contact the listowner
   [log in to unmask]

o If you are removed from the list this is usually because the
   listowner has received error reports saying that your email address
   was invalid. This might be caused by temporary problems, such as a
   server going down at your site.
