FREE FILM PREVIEW AT THE ROYAL GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY
DISAPPEARING WORLD - EPISODE 1
Film Preview in association with Discovery Channel Europe
Disappearing World follows the progress of adults who were filmed 20 years
ago
as small children, and sees how some people's lives have dramatically
changed.
The series is introduced by Andy Kershaw and explains how tourism, political
change and development are presenting bewildering new alternatives to the
people
whose lives were recorded. In this episode we look at the peaceful Mehinaku
of Central Brazil; a tribal
leader from Papua New Guinea, and an ancient tribe in Laos who were forced
from
their highland village and caught in the crossfire of war.
Event open to the public - please tell your colleagues/friends. No tickets
required.
Next Discovery People Interview - November - interviewee to be announced.
