Neil Carr's point is a good one think. Now that she's seen Anna and the King my mother wants to go to Thailand--although I don't think she has any plans on romancing the King.

As a small thought to the debate about the reality of fictional movies -
The Full Monty was a fictional movie (at least I think/hope so), despite
this I have heard of tourists being taken on guided tours of Sheffield to
see the sites shown in the film. Other films, not least Schindlers List,
may also have an influence on tourist behaviour. Consequently, my point is,
what if any impact will the beach have on both the backpacking tourism
industry and the destinations shown in the movie?
Cheers
