Nigel,
They Echiniscus that I need may come from any place in the world, there are
only two criteria: 1. That they live in yellow Xantoria lichens. 2. That
there are LOTS and LOTS of them, because we need many to be able to make
the analysis. And naturally, the smaller they are, the more we need, so big
ones are preferable. In principle, the Testechiniscus sample that we found
on Greenland could be used, but those animals were very small and it would
require a lot of time to extract enough. So if possible I would like to
find a sample with bigger animals.
I will of course extract the animals myself, so if you or anybody else has
a good population, you only have to dry the lichen and send it over.
greetings, Ingemar
