Dear list members. I have received a message in which some of you may be
interested.

Dear Dr Muggleton,
I am indeed interested in the subcultures list. I (or rather my department
of the Council of Europe) have planned for the publication of a collection
of articles on the topic of youth cultures and citizenship. We are looking
for articles whose authors are from non-English speaking countries. I
already have contributions from Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany,
Russia and the UK. Articles from any other European country are welcome.
The idea is to find pieces that, instead of simply taking an anthropological
look into specific sub-cultural scenes, analyse the potential impact of
these phenomena on social change, and/or their role as a vector of youth
expression and participation in society.
We could bear translation costs for articles written in other languages then
English, although would be happier if they were written in English so that
the editors can judge their quality.
I will be grateful if you could post this message to your list
