Dear SPM group,
we are currently designing a rapid event-related fMRI study with
interests in differential and main effects:
3 conditions, 50 trials in each condition, 50 null-events, random
presentation, SOA 3.5 sek, TR 4.0 sec.
Here are my questions:
Does the design make sense in general?
Can the TR be longer than the SOA, or should the SOA be longer than the
TR?
Are 50 trials per condition enough to detect differential effects with
an SOA with 3.5 sec.?
Are 50 null-events enough or they be more?
And two more general event-related questions:
Does the slice timing routine work well with interleaved data
acquisition?
Does it make sense to realign the data before slice-time, so that all
voxels are in the same position, or should the slice-timing routine
always be performed before the realignment?
Many question, and I thank everybody for helpful answers.
Frank
