sounds like you ran out of file space to open the file. You may be
able to get your file system to open that many files but I wouldn't
bet on it. Even if you do get the files to open I don't think there
is any way you are going to be able to retain the appropriate
smoothing/other filters in your programs data space.
You might try analyzing smaller numbers of runs and then combining
via random effects.
