| Very easy question: Can anybody tell me how to do make in the Render
| Display a color bar showing the z-values instead of presenting the
| t-values? Thank you in advance!
The Render Display option does not show quantitative t or F statistics,
so a colour-bar would be meaningless. The blobs that are rendered
are basically an exponentially weighted integral of the test statistic,
such that blobs close to the surface are weighted heavily and those that
are deaper are weighted less. This is to try to simulate opacity of the
underlying brain.
The orthogonal and transverse sections show the raw t or F statistic, so
a colour-bar is meaningful in these cases. Changing the displayed
statistic to a Z-score would require a bit of additional Matlab coding,
with a call to the spm_t2z function.
All the best,
-John
